Medicare Broker in Boise, Idaho
I've been helping Boise residents sort through Medicare since 2018. As an independent broker, I'm not tied to one insurance company. I compare the plans available in Ada County and explain the tradeoffs in plain language, so you can decide with the whole picture in front of you.
There's no cost to work with me. Your premium is the same whether you enroll through me, directly with the carrier, or on your own.

What Boise Clients Usually Ask About
Are my doctors in network?
Boise has two major hospital systems, St. Luke's and Saint Alphonsus, and Medicare Advantage networks don't always include both. Before we look at any plan, we list the doctors, specialists, and hospital you actually use, then check each one.
Which plans can I get in Boise?
Medicare Advantage plans are approved county by county. What's available in Ada County can differ from Canyon County, even a few miles away, and the lineup changes every year. I look at what's actually offered where you live.
I'm turning 65. Where do I start?
Your Initial Enrollment Period starts three months before your 65th birthday month. Getting the timing right matters, especially if you're still working or covered by an employer plan.
Can I lower my Supplement premium?
Idaho has a birthday rule. If you already have a Medigap policy, you get a 63-day window starting on your birthday to switch to a plan with equal or lesser benefits, with no health questions.

Boise Medicare Questions
Do you charge anything?
No. Insurance carriers pay brokers directly, and your premium is the same whether you enroll through me or on your own.
Do you only work with Boise residents?
No. I'm licensed throughout Idaho. Most of my clients are in Ada and Canyon counties, and I work with everyone else by phone or Zoom.
When can I change my plan?
Most people can change Medicare Advantage or Part D plans during Annual Enrollment, October 15 through December 7, with new coverage starting January 1. Some situations, like moving, losing coverage, or a discontinued plan, open a Special Enrollment Period.
I qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid. Can you help?
Yes. Dual Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs) coordinate both programs, and dual-eligible members generally have more flexibility to change plans during the year.
